Family Promise Shelter Trunk-Or-Treat
Trunk or Treat and Soup Supper at the Shelter: Tuesday, October 28, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
You are invited to a warm, joy filled evening hosted at the Family Promise Shelter (not at the church campus).
We gather to bless our neighbors with a safe, festive Trunk or Treat in the parking lot and a comforting Soup Supper inside. Come ready to serve, smile, and share the love of Christ through simple hospitality and gracious welcome.
Two simple ways to help:
- Bring a crock pot of your favorite soup to share
- Decorate your car for Trunk or Treat in the parking lot
You may also bring wrapped candy to hand out. We will provide bowls, utensils, and beverages so you may focus on enjoying fellowship and caring for families.
Very important volunteer note. To serve on site at the Family Promise Shelter, you must be registered with Family Promise by Sunday, October 20. If you are not yet registered, please begin that process today so you are cleared in time. Contact Stefanie for details on how to register, to coordinate your soup contribution, to claim a parking lot spot for your decorated trunk, or to ask any event questions.
Why this matters. Your presence helps create a joyful, safe place for children to celebrate and for parents to exhale. Together we embody the good news of Jesus with warm food, kind words, and generous hearts.
Note that this event is different than St. Luke’s HarvestFest trunk-or-treat, which is a yearly Kids’ Ministry highlight! But, if you’ve got your decorations squared away for HarvestFest already, why not double the joy and share your fall festivities of fictitious finery with the shelter, too?! It’s a win-win!
