Follow Along on the 2026 Pilgrimage to Egypt and Jordan

The journey has begun! Forty-one members of St. Luke are currently flying to Egypt!

You are invited to journey alongside them as they travel through Egypt and Jordan on a faith-filled pilgrimage rooted in scripture, history, and shared prayer. While the group experiences these ancient lands “in-person” you are encouraged to follow along from home through a special blog written by Pr. Jim with reflections and updates from the road.

As they are currently mid-travel, there are no entries yet. But the aforementioned blog page will soon be full of interesting updates!

Pr. Jim will be posting frequent entries sharing what the group is seeing learning and experiencing together. These reflections offer a window into places that shaped our faith and into the community that continues to live it out today.

Read, reflect, and travel in spirit alongside your sisters and brothers in Christ.

A note and link will appear in the over the next couple of weeks.

However, If you would like to receive an email each time a new blog entry is posted you are encouraged to add your name to the Egypt blog email list so you do not miss a single update. This is a unique email list limited to Egypt 2026 updates.

Pr. Jim has expressed gratitude for all who are following along on this 2026 pilgrimage to Egypt and a few days in Jordan. Daily entries will highlight the sites visited and the people traveling together. Nearly all participants are from St. Luke Lutheran Church joined by a few family members. The pilgrimage is organized with Elias Tours and co led with Pr. Mike Brose from Crosswalk Community Church.

Pr. Jim notes that the group carries with them prayers for Terry and Carol O’Leary who were unable to travel due to health concerns and prayers for the entire St. Luke community at home. From Egypt and Jordan they send blessings and gratitude for a church where grace is lived shared and rooted in the cross of Christ.

Check in often and walk this journey together in faith!
