AKA Affirmation of Baptism (if you’re feeling fancy) is a 2-year youth study program that culminates in Confirmation Sunday, where 9th graders share personal faith statements with the congregation. Sound scary? Actually, it’s more about acknowledging God’s faithfulness than our own. Confirmation students learn about Jesus’ sacrificial love, what it means to be graced by that forgiveness, and how that shapes a life of hope moving forward. It would be much scarier if it were all up to us, but thankfully, God’s got this.
Students in 7th and 8th grade attend confirmation classes during Youth Group on Wednesday nights. The classes are led by the pastors, though confirmation is a part of the overall Youth program led by Jacque.
Confirmation Sunday is the last Sunday each October.
