Playground BBQ at the Shelter - St. Luke Lutheran Church

Exciting news is happening at the shelter… the playground is officially opening! To celebrate this wonderful new space for families, everyone is invited to a special Playground BBQ on Wednesday, September 18, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.

This will be a joyful evening of food, fellowship, and play. Volunteers will be grilling hamburgers, and kids will get the first chance to enjoy the new playground equipment. It’s a time to gather as a community, share in a meal together, and celebrate the gift of safe, welcoming spaces for families.

If you would like to help, there are two ways to participate:

Volunteer on-site – helping serve food, assist with setup, or play with the children.
Donate items – Potato chips and ice cream sandwiches are still needed to make the night special. Items need to be dropped off no later than 9/17
