Day 1 – Travel Day & Exploring Asheville

Hi! We’re just settling in for the night after a long day (or more? I can’t tell.) of travel! We’ve arrived at Mullen Bible Camp, where we’ll be staying for the week. We’re tired! Most of us have been up since Friday morning, and maybe got an hour of sleep at most on our flights. We got into Asheville around 9:00am(est) after meeting at the Spokane airport at 8:30pm yesterday for our 10:45pm flight. After our flights, we spent the day exploring downtown Asheville, getting a bite to eat at a delicious pizza place, then walking around the River Arts District in groups on a scavenger hunt! We picked up dinner on our hour drive from Asheville to Mullen Bible Camp in Lake Lure.

I’m so proud of these teens. They’ve already shown such adaptability, open mindedness and patience. We’re headed to bed now, very tired but looking forward to our time here together.

We’ll hopefully be able to do a more in-depth update tomorrow. We should have a relatively easy day tomorrow, which should get us rested up and ready to serve come Monday.
