12 of our group left in the middle of the night for home. 31 of us are relaxing on a day off at the beautiful resort in Sharm El Sheikh at the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula enjoying a day snorkeling in the Red Sea. I haven’t looked up why it’s called Red Sea when its waters are so blue, clear, warm and beautiful. Tomorrow morning we will travel by bus up the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba for 3.5 hours to where we catch a ferry for an hour that takes us across to Aqaba, Jordan, where we then take a bus for 2 hours to Petra. It will be a long day of travel with checkpoints so I won’t blog tomorrow. Grateful for this time exploring new lands, meeting new peoples, and growing in faith and relationships.
