We started our day early today. We were up by 5 and went to the Cairo airport to depart for Luxor. It wasn’t a long flight, but between airport chaos and herding cats, it wasn’t a short adventure. We went straight to our river boat and had lunch on the Nile. In the afternoon we visited the Karnak Temple then the Luxor Temple after it got dark. Impressive buildings! It was a lot of walking, standing, waiting, looking, and trying to listen. Fascinating, but also a long day.
