Saturday: Ordination of Brendan Wiechert

A joyful day for St. Luke and the wider church!

You are invited to gather in worship for a truly meaningful moment in the life of the church. This Saturday, March 28 at 10:00am, you will have the opportunity to witness and celebrate the ordination of Brendan Wiechert to the Ministry of Word and Sacrament, held here at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Said plainly, Brendan is being established into pastoral ministry! This is a major milestone and culminates his years of seminary study while simultaneously launching him into life as a called and ordained pastor.

Ordination is more than a milestone for one individual. It is a moment where the whole church gives thanks for God’s call, God’s grace, and God’s ongoing work in the world. Through the laying on of hands and prayer, you will see the church affirm what God has already begun. In this, we are reminded that all ministry flows from the cross and from the grace first given to us in Christ.

Red is the color of the day! You’re encouraged to wear red.

This is a day filled with joy, hope, and promise. You are invited not simply as a guest, but as part of the body of Christ that surrounds, supports, and sends Brendan into this calling. Your presence matters. Your prayers matter. Your participation is part of the church’s shared witness.
