You are invited to wear red for Pentecost Sunday on May 24 as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit poured out upon God’s people.
Pentecost is often called the birthday of the church. On this day, we often remember the story from Acts, when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and sent them out to share the good news of Jesus Christ. The color red reminds us of the Spirit’s fire, the courage of the apostles, and the living presence of God at work in the church today.
This Sunday also marks the final Sunday before St. Luke enters the summer season. As Sunday School pauses for the summer, more kids will remain in worship with the congregation each week. To help welcome and include them, you will hear the first Children’s Message of the year during worship.
The choir sings in worship prior to the summer hiatus, and the Pentecost vibes are always vibrant and full of joy and thankfulness for all the Lord has done!
You are invited to partake!
