Day 11 - Back to Athens

We returned from sea to shore, back to Athens. It was hot! It not as hot as yesterday when they had to close it. We returned to our hotel about 10am but couldn’t check in til 2pm. They store our luggage so some took in the Acropolis museum, some shopped in the Placa (old town), some walked around town. 6 of us went to Razzouk Tattoo (from Jerusalem, now set up another shop in Athens) to get “certificates of pilgrimage,” or tattoos. We had one final meeting to debrief the trip and have our last devotion before dinner and getting to bed early before and even earlier wake up to leave in the morning. I will stay til the next group arrives in a few days to start all over again. The best part of the trip: the people! The relationships, shared experience, insights to deepen/strengthen faith, the fun and love shared - all worth it. Grateful!
