Youth Mission - Day 5 (7/31)

What’s up this is Micah. Today we woke up nice and early to go and try to finish our building project. When we got there we found out there wasn’t that much to do so instead we cleaned out all of the classrooms after giving out the education kits. Turns out nobody knows how to mop correctly, the Dominican way. After being taught the proper techniques we cleaned as many rooms as possible. We stopped for a quick lunch then returned to finish the rest of the rooms.

Once we were done we had a quick dance party before going to practice. Ben, Billy and I were swarmed with about 30 kids after running from Ben “El Torro”. More people went out onto the field then any other day, and the kids were thrilled to start a game with the Americanos. Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and had multiple dance parties after the DJ started playing music in English. A lot of us had piña coladas (without alcohol) and finished off the night in the pool. Now for a message from Billy, “I love you so much Mom!!!”
