Day 8 – Hilltop Towns in Tuscany

Today we visited the hilltop town of Montalcino. We then went to a quaint winery below the hilltop town of Montepulciano. There we had a wonderful picnic lunch. The Tuscany region is beautiful! We returned to our Tuscan Villa for a swim in the pool followed by dinner there. The food has been outstanding! They had us in a dining room with no air conditioning and no breeze. One in our group passed out and had to be taken to the hospital. They’re doing fine now, but the heat exhaustion has been a real thing (actually surprised more haven’t passed out on this trip – been close though). Despite the dining room, I think the Villa has been the biggest hit on the trip.
