Day 9 – Last Day in Tuscany and travel to Venice

We left our Tuscan Villa this morning and went a short distance to Winery where we had a cooking class making pasta (that we ate later for lunch), having a wine education and tasting, and ate lunch (and, of course shopped for wine, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar). We left there about 2pm (after arriving shortly after 10am) and made our way to Venice – about a 4-hour bus ride. Once arriving to our hotel outside Venice, we checked into our hotel and had dinner together. Our participant who went to the hospital the night before had to spend the night in the hospital to get their electrolytes back in order. A couple of us went to the hospital in the morning and waited ‘til they were discharged. Fortunately they were discharged in time to meet the rest of the group at the winery. We were worried about making it in time to depart to Venice. All was well. Tuscany was wonderful. Now for our final leg of the journey in Venice.
